ok im watching the first one now, and i must say that the bishop (er, deacon, whatever) is doing the same ol shite. he starts off with "if the catholic church is not good, then im wasting my life", which is an appeal to emotion. nothing to do with facts.

then, he says something like "the cath. church has 1.xx billion members", argumentum ad populum, which is a logical fallacy. just coz you have alot of people agreeing doesnt make it true or right. think about nazism.

i was kinda shocked how he came to that lecturn and spoke to those educated brits much the same way a different priest talked to me when i was a 4th grade altar boy. its kind of insulting how he talked down to the audience that way, i also noticed that i dont think he quoted one fact at all!

im watching the other 4 now.

Good going atheistbob! You beat me to the punch. According to the Catholic Church I am one of them after getting married to my Catholic wife. Does he include people like me in his so-called billion members? They wouldn't marry us when I told them I was an atheists---so in their divine honesty, they put down in their records that I was a protestant so we could get married in the Church, now their records show me as a Catholic. They thought if I sent my children to a Catholic school they would become Catholic-----They were wrong!. Solitary

i was raised catholic, and im on their log books too.

in fact, i tried a few years ago to get excommunicated and erased from their books because i hate the idea that my name is used as 'support' for their racist and bigoted practices. they wouldnt remove me from their minions.

This was so great to me,    because there is no debate as to who won the debate. The representatives of the Church showed their true colors without even realizing it, and the audience knew it.  How can an institution that inslaves children's minds, makes them feel guilty for sins they never committed, guilty for what is natural done with love, threaten them with eternal torment to control them,  then have the Gaul to tell people what they can do in private, and make them confess to a person that is probably morally worse, and practicing what is unnatural for a normal human being. The psychological damage the Church has done to children and adults, and still does, is appalling to say the least. They do everything they can to promote their nonsense, superstition, and ignorance, as well as destroy individuality. How dare them! Solitary.
