This was a first.
Generally some people on here sometimes give each other a hard time, but has always been a grain of grain respect. Even back in the old days when "Aviator" was a part of this forum and that guy (can't remember his user name) constantly dogged him out, boundaries were respected.
That "I'm going to shut your mouth" threat is right of of the 1st grade, but it is still a threat.

It wasn't rerally a problem for me, but my wife took it serious. After what I've seen about this guy on the internet, I'am not sure I shouldn't have though. He's a real nut-case!

THE British Board of Film Censors – no longer hamstrung by “blasphemy” concerns now that this “crime” has been abolished in the UK – has approved, without cuts, a pornographic film called Passio. It has been given an R18 rating
We always wondered why Jesus was called The Horn of Salvation. Now we know why!
You can see more details about Passio here – but be WARNED, as the site contains scenes that will upset those of a sensitive or religious nature.
The BBFC has had only banned one film that it thought might be blasphemous: Nigel Wingrove’s Visions of Ecstacy. But after the repeal of the blasphemy law he was invited to re-submit the film to the censors.
Isn't amazing that it took that long to get rid of blasphemy as a crime? Solitary

DOES BELIEF IN GOD CAUSE WAR AND OTHER HUMAN OPPRESSION?
April 20, 2010 by richardaberdeen
Is it really accurate, as some intellectuals claim today, to blame belief in God as the cause of war and other human oppression? Is this any more correct than blaming science and education? Isn’t it more honest to instead, blame people who mis-use technology and belief in God for their own nefarious purposes?
Obviously, someone can aim the fickle finger of fate at war waged in the name of religion. (Religion, in fact, is the cause of "religious" wars!) But, even before the invention of the wheel leading to ever-improved knife, spear, bow and chariot design, human science and education has been intricately entwined with waging war. Military applications have long been interlaced with government-funded science, education and modern space exploration. (The instruments of war don't cause wars!)
Consider the Manhattan Project, nuclear missiles and space-ray weapons. And, the rise of oppressive imperialism alongside industrial age invention; the American, French, Russian and Chinese revolutions; WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq. Incalculable human oppression has been aided by science and technology and, waged in the name of nationalism, democracy, capitalism, communism, socialism, fascism, anarchism and other intellectual idealism and often, just plain old fashioned human greed and lust for gold. (True!)
Arguably because of their belief in God, billions of people have helped the sick, poor and oppressed masses throughout the ages. (This is a non Sequitor. They did it because of their humanity, not belief in God.) Consider names like Isaiah, Socrates, Jesus, Gandhi (As far as I know Gandhi believed in gods.), Albert Schweitzer, Harriet Tubman, Helen Keller, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Jr., Cesar Chavez and, celebrities like Danny Thomas, Jerry Lewis and Martin Sheen. Consider the Union Rescue Mission and LA Mission on Skid Row in Los Angeles. Throughout the European “dark” and Middle Ages, many individuals, including some popes, established public hospitals, housing and bread lines.
Consider modern electricity, medicine, surgery, global travel, computer technology and other marvels of a 21st Century age of science and wonder. And to be fair, weigh this in the historical balances against WMDs, global mass pollution, depletion of fisheries, rain and other forests, fresh water pollution, mountains of garbage and cesspools of toxic waste left in the wake of the “Age of Enlightenment”. (And these are all a problem because of over population caused by theists being against birth control!)
Why is oppression waged in the name of Christianity, Islam and other religions any worse than that waged in the name of manifest destiny, communism and fascism? Is human oppression a result of sincere belief in God? Or, is it rather, a result of human beings wrongly using the sincere beliefs of others for their own devious purposes? (Two wrongs don't make a right!)
Isn’t it more likely that we all contribute to the negative downside of human history, whenever we fail to treat other people as we ourselves, wish to be treated? Isn’t it more accurate, as Jesus pointed out and as Freud, Jung and modern behavioral science agree, to blame the “seething mass” of irrationality and frustration buried deep within individual human beings, as being the real cause of our problems? (This is correct in my opinion.)
If we are going to rationally and fairly blame something as being the “cause” of our problems, maybe it’s wise to first take a good look in the mirror. (True!) Does belief in God cause human oppression? You decide. (No, but the institutions of religion do--- as 6,000 years ofrecorded history have shown to be true.) Solitary

Considering the last post as emplying religion doesn't cause wars or repress I give you this quote:
(Let's invade Iraq with our Bible Thumpers)
Have you ever wonder why Christian missionaries are willing to go off their way to convey the divine message of Christianity to the so-called sinners? What is the real story behind the religious missions to begin with?
You should either invade a nation's "homeland" with your "soldiers", or a nation's "mind" with your "missionaries" first, before you can rob them of whatever they have for your own prosperity. These barbaric historical phenomena are the verity of our past and the present. We know well what the White Man did to the aboriginals of the great continents of America, Africa, and Australia. We are knowledgeable enough to understand how the Christian White Man converted the North, Central, and South American aboriginals to Christianity first, before he was able to take control of the entire land.
To tell the truth, both, statesmen and missionaries, have played the game of human exploitation side by side during the course of human history. The same story is true about the invasion of Islam to the homelands of the infidels in 7th and 8th centuries. In this case, Muslims used the Arabian curved sword first, before they were able to convert the infidels to Islam.
The crusade and jihad to convert the whole world to Christianity or Islam have been accompanied by the holy means of exploitation, deception and persecution. The exploitation of the native people by the resource-hungry invaders called missionaries, has brought about the persecution of the most ruthless and relentless kind, including the theft of the native land, the stripping of their cultures, and the all-embracing enslavement of their population. Today, this enslavement is still carried on by the Christian missionaries in a greater extent compared to their counter parts, the Islamic evangelists, because of the fact that the Christian missionaries are wealthier and live in industrial countries.
History repeats itself. We still keep exploiting each other as we did centuries ago. Put it this way, it is the same crap of human exploitation but with a different colour in this day and age. Ethiopia is a good example in our modern world. There are about 12 million Homo sapiens in Ethiopia who are starving to death due to the famine nowadays. Ethiopia has been struggling with droughts and famine on and off for decades if not centuries. The modern Western world of the 20th Century treated Ethiopia as another evangelistic ground to spread Christianity while the Ethiopian indigenous tribal people starved to death.
Throughout the last century, the Christian missionaries in Ethiopia were involved in new translations of the Bible into Arnharic and other Ethiopian native languages, Bible teaching and dictionaries, evangelism, preparing Bible commentaries, religious magazines and other religious literature. This was done while Ethiopians were starving to death, the best vulnerable condition to surrender to Christianity or Islam. Of course in the interim the West kept the Ethiopians alive by providing some sort of humanitarian aid. After all, you need to be alive to read any "Holey" book.
To many of us, Ethiopia is synonymous with famine. It was 1984 famine when 800,000 Ethiopians died during the notorious drought. The disaster brought some donations raised by some Western countries and the Live Aid rock concert in 1985 from sales of the song "We Are the World." Ruthlessly, the Christian missionaries continued their "holey" mission, Bible teaching, during 1980's while Ethiopians needed water and food more than anything else including the new versions of the Bible.
History teaches us that the invasion of a nation's mind fanatically by missionaries is more effective than the invasion of the homeland with soldiers in order to achieve exploitation. This could be (could have been) a good lesson for President George W. Bush to invade Iraq with his American evangelists rather than with soldiers.
I'm sure they are there also. Solitary

I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me,
Thou are my Son: this day have I begotten thee.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance,
and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Psalms 2:7-8
To be fair about this subject, the Church and Churches don't have a policy of conquering other countries or cultures, but the results speak for themselves.
The strong adventurous Hawaiians were more than up to the task of sailing on these tall ships. Five of these adventurous Hawaiian sailors Henry Obookiah*, Thomas Hopu, William Kanui, John Honolii, and George Tamoree made it to New England where they became Christians. These young men looking for adventure, all were converted to Christ as Lord in there own unique way. Their desire was to return to Hawaii to bring the “torch of life” , Christianity, to their people.
These trader contacts also began the serious plagues of the “trader’s diseases” including STD’s, Leprosy, and many other diseases for which the Hawaiians had no immunities. In time the Hawaiian population would plummet from three to five hundred thousand in 1778 to only thirty thousand by 1900.
1800 By this time King Kamehameha I was ruling like a British Crown Colony with uniforms of the Court of St. James with helmets, gold-brad, cannons and the Union Jack. Many Hawaiians were killed due to his forced unification of the Islands of Hawaii. Whole villages were pushed off of the Pali in Oahu to their death.
In one of these battles for power between two warring chiefs, Henry Obookiah* at the age of about twelve helplessly watched as his parents were butchered before his eyes.
Henry met Thomas Hopu another Hawaiian boy in search of adventure on the ship. Both Henry and Thomas would become original members of the American Board Mission to Hawaii; though only one would return to Hawaii. As fate would have it at the age of 26 in Cornwall Connecticut, Henry would succumb to the typhus fever on February 17th, 1818. Henry's Christian testimony was published and became a best seller. The profits of the book "Memoirs of Henry Obookiah" were used to finance the missionary journeys to Hawaii and other lands.
Inspired and encouraged by the dramatic testimony and conversion of Henry Obookiah the first missionaries sailed for Hawaii, on October 23rd, 1819 aboard the Thaddeus. The Missionaries had left all their future in America and had sold all that they possessed, farms, homes to come to Hawaii. They had made a solemn commitment to God and each other to spend the rest of their lives serving the Hawaiian people in virtual poverty with only their stipends from New England.
3/30/1820 The ship Thaddeus arrived with Congregational Missionaries to Hawaii. And began to teach the people against the orgies, opium dens, soliciting of native women and other forms of vice.
(Not everything the missionaries do is bad, but why the self-righteous attitude about inslaving people's minds?)
Naturally, all of this troubles me. And there are clearly underlying circumstances. Native Hawaiians have gotten the short end of the stick in Hawaii ever since the Missionaries showed up. They are the poorest, the least educated, the most likely to go to jail, and the most likely to be unemployed of all the ethnic groups in Hawaii and in the United States. They lost their land and they are fighting to keep their dignity. It would seem the missionaries have failed to actually help the native Hawaiians, but have only helped the churchs spread Christianity and inslave their minds like it says to do so in the Bible..
